ABOUT US

We are Jed & Claire, Ive always loved the Bulldog & it took 10 yrs to persuade my wife Claire to get our first Bullie..we researched the Bulldog breed for 2 years before we found a breeder we felt happy with.

We are now members of the 'London Bulldog', 'Bulldog Club Inc', Junior Bulldog', 'South of England', 'Northern Bulldog Club' & 'Beckenham Canine Society' there we have met many knowledgeable breeders & have made some good friends, who are very supportive & care very much for this great british breed..

With the help of our children our dogs are carefully handled from birth which makes them people orientated...They adore children and make an excellent companion because of their gentle, yet sometimes stubborn nature...Bulldogs are an IDEAL PET as they LOVE to be in the company of their family.

We are hobby breeders & trying to develop a good gene pool to produce healthy dogs representing the show standard of Bulldogs...

On 27th January 08 we attended a seminar in "Judging" where we learnt more about the Standard & Gait {movement}of the Bulldog, we had the opportunity to work with 3 top judges, full workshop & finally an exam on the breed standard. Then 3 weeks later received a certificate 'diploma in Judging' Claire getting 92%...It was a great experience & will defiantly do these seminars again , we feel the more we learn the more we can improve on our lines & understand the standard even more.....

ABOUT THE PURE BRED BRITISH BULLDOG

Known as the national symbol of Great Britain, the characteristics of a perfect Bulldog are medium size, smooth coat, heavy thick-set low-swung body pear~shaped body, massive short-faced head, wide shoulders and sturdy limbs.

Bulldogs are laid-back, loyal, good natured and undemanding companion who would make a great companion for the young & elderly. Bulldogs can also be humorous even comical which adds to their charm...You can even teach them tricks, as we have with Bo...

The reason we chose BODECIAN affix is when we studied the history of English 'Queen Bodecia' we came to the conclusion that this queen was family orientated, loyal, loving & kind but she defended till her death when her loved ones were threatened. We feel this is truly appropriate when we read the history of the English Bulldog...

Anyone thinking about owning a bulldog we always strongly recommend purchasing & reading a number of bulldog books perhaps starting with Bulldogs Today by Chris Thomas this is a simple structured book with illustrations of the 'standard' what to look for in a pure bred bulldog.
